Head-on collision leaves 20 injured, 5 critically, in Dhading



MALEKHU: A harrowing head-on collision between two vehicles this morning near Phisling Bazaar along the Prithvi Highway has resulted in at least 20 individuals sustaining injuries.

The District Traffic Police Office in Dhading has reported that the health condition of five of the injured is critical.

Following the collision, a passenger bus (Bhe 1 Kha 4060) en route from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu careened into the Trishuli River.

An eyewitness recounted that the bus plunged into the river as the driver attempted to evade the oncoming car (Bagmati Province 02-039 Cha 3720), which was traveling from Kathmandu to Muglin.

It has been confirmed by the police that the five individuals in critical condition were passengers in the car.

Police Inspector Rabindra Kumar Shrestha stated that the seriously injured individuals have been swiftly transported to Chitwan for urgent medical treatment.
