Hearing concludes in cricketer Lamichhane’s appeal case, verdict likely today

KATHMANDU: The hearing on cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane’s appeal against the Kathmandu District Court’s ruling in a rape case at the Patan High Court has concluded.

The case was presided over by judges Sudarshan Dev Bhatta and Anju Upetri Dhakal.

Bimal Parajuli, spokesperson for the Patan High Court, stated that the hearing has concluded, and the verdict is anticipated to be issued today.

In the initial verdict, the Kathmandu District Court had sentenced Sandeep to 8 years of imprisonment for the alleged rape incident in Gaushala 26.

Subsequently, Sandeep lodged an appeal with the Patan High Court, where the case has faced postponement on five occasions.
