Kanti Highway section closed for maintenance, alternative route advised



MAKAWANPUR: A crucial section of the Kanti Highway, linking Hetauda and Kathmandu, has been temporarily closed from today morning until April 27, 2024.

This closure is necessary for the repair and maintenance of a portion of the highway located at Bhattedanda, Lalitpur, as confirmed by the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

According to Deputy Superintendent Laxmi Bhandari, spokesperson for the District Police Office Makawanpur, the Department of Roads has officially communicated this decision.

Bhandari further stated that vehicles traveling on the Kathmandu Kanti Highway are advised to divert their route and utilize the Thankot-Chitlang-Hetauda road during this period.

With more than 2,000 light vehicles traversing the Kathmandu Kanti Highway daily, as reported by the Area Police Office, Makawanpur, this temporary closure aims to ensure safe and efficient transportation along this crucial route.
