Kathmandu District Court official arrested on rape charges



KATHMANDU: Lalitpur police have apprehended a Kathmandu District Court official on charges of rape.

Gopal Gajmer, identified as a section officer at the Kathmandu District Court, was arrested following allegations of rape by a young woman.

While SP Karki confirmed the arrest, additional details about the background of the accused were not provided.

Gajmer, who faces accusations of rape, has been placed in custody for an additional five days.

The arrest took place on February 12, and the remand period has been extended to facilitate further investigation.
