Special Court set to deliver verdict on Lalita Niwas Land Scam case today



KATHMANDU: The Special Court is poised to deliver its verdict on the Lalita Niwas Land Scam case today.

Following the conclusion of the hearing on Tuesday, Dhan Bahadur Karki, the spokesperson for the special court, has indicated that a verdict is likely to be announced today.

The case involves several high-profile individuals, including former Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar, former Minister Chandra Dev Joshi, and the owner of Bhatbhateni, Min Bahadur Gurung, who have been implicated in the scandal.

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed the case on Magh 22, 2076 BS, accusing individuals of unlawfully transferring government land ownership to private individuals.
