President appoints ambassadors to five countries



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has appointed new ambassadors to Portugal, Spain, Belgium, South Korea, and South Africa.

Following recommendations from the Council of Ministers, President Poudel has appointed Prakash Mani Poudel as Ambassador to the Republic of Portugal; Sunil Nepal as Ambassador to Spain; Prof. Dr. Kapilman Shrestha as Ambassador to South Africa; Sewa Lamsal as Ambassador to Belgium; and Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe as Nepal’s Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Korea.

The appointments were made in accordance with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, as per a statement issued by the Office of the President’s Spokesperson, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai.
