Minister Yadav pledges efforts to address concerns of people affected by Bhedaha River

BIRGUNJ: Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, today visited the areas affected by the flood from the Bhedaha River based in Birgunj metropolis-31.

The flood from the river triggered by incessant rains on September 27-28 affected life, particularly in Islampur and its surrounding areas.

During the inspection, the Minister interacted with the locals and promised initiatives to address their concerns.

They apprised the Minister who is also a House of Representatives (HoR) member from the Parsa-1 about soil erosion by the river for years and its escalating threats to them.

They demanded the construction of an embankment to find a durable solution to their problems.

The Minister assured of substantive measures to manage the river during rain and also of compensation for the loss.
