Three die in Palpa car accident



PALPA: Three people died in a car accident in Butwal, Rupandehi.

DSP Bijayraj Pandit of the District Police Office Butwal said that the accident occurred near Butwal-13 Nuwakotgarhi View Tower last night.

“In the accident, the car driver Ram Prasad Sharma, 46, resident of Butwal-10, Ashka Shrestha, 57, resident of Tilottama Municipality-3, and Bhagawati Shrestha, 50, of Tilottma-3, died,” DSP Shrestha said.

Additionally, 56-year-old Chanda Shrestha of Butwal-9 Milan Chowk and 46-year-old Laxmita Shrestha of Butwal-11 were injured.

He confirmed that the injured are being treated at Lumbini Provincial Hospital and are in stable condition.

According to the police, the car, bearing the license plate Lu 2 Ch 8531, was returning to Butwal after visiting the View Tower area when it fell about 100 meters from the downhill road, resulting in the accident.
