KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party, is holding its Parliamentary Party Working Committee and Parliamentary Party meetings in Kathmandu today.
The Parliamentary Party Working Committee meeting is scheduled for 1 pm, followed by the Parliamentary Party meeting at 2 pm, both to be held in the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneswor.
Key agenda items include deliberations on whether to oppose the government’s forthcoming policies and programs slated for submission to parliament on May 14 (Tuesday).
President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to present the government’s policies and programs during a joint session of the Federal Parliament tomorrow (May 14).
The Nepali Congress has been obstructing parliamentary proceedings, pressing for a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in a cooperative case.
