Maoist Chair Prachanda calls for unity among all Maoist forces

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” emphasized the need for unity among all Maoist forces, urging them to come together for a common cause.

Speaking at the state convention of the party at the Nepal Academy in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Prachanda made the appeal for collaboration.

“Let’s unite all groups within the Maoist front into a single center and front. There’s no time to delay; the longer we wait, the greater the political damage. We must not underestimate the potential loss,” he asserted.

His message was directed at those who have distanced from the Maoist Center party.

“Let’s engage in a comprehensive review, encourage self-criticism, and stand united against the reactionaries. Regardless of your current position, I supported you in the past; now, support me in establishing unity,” he added.

Recalling a time when a mere statement from Prachanda could bring the country to a standstill, he expressed his determination to lead the nation towards a new revolution in the latter part of his life.

“If comrades are ready to take charge, I am prepared to step down from leadership. I have no desire to cling to power,” he announced.

Highlighting the growing presence of reactionaries, Prachanda urged all Maoist elements to be ready to resist.

“This is an opportune moment to act; the reactionaries are raising their heads. Let’s seize the chance. We’ve initiated the campaign for socialism from both the party and government fronts,” he said.
