After statement, Ravi says: A tiger doesn’t become a Jackal by being caged
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Ravi Lamichhane, implicated in a cooperative savings fraud case, gave his statement on Tuesday at the District Government Attorney’s Office in Rupandehi.
He was brought to Bhairahawa from Kaski by Shree Airlines around 11 a.m., and the government attorney recorded his statement for about an hour.
NEA spokesperson Chandan Kumar Ghosh said the decision was made at a board meeting on Tuesday. He noted that, following a directive from the Ministry of Energy and a recent Cabinet decision, the NEA board approved a plan to reconnect the power lines to industries while continuing to collect outstanding fees.
Deepak Manange arrested in Kathmandu
Former Gandaki Province Minister Deepak Manange has been arrested in Kathmandu.
Manange, who was found guilty by the Supreme Court (SC) in connection with an attempt to murder case, was apprehended this morning by a team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police in the Sano Bharyang area of Kathmandu.
Manange was found guilty of attempted murder by the Supreme Court of Nepal.
Deepak Manange sent to Dillibazar Jail
Former Provincial Minister Deepak Manange, who was found guilty in a murder case, has been transferred to Dillibazar Jail.
The Kathmandu District Court ordered his detention at the facility.
Manange, who was arrested in Sanbharyang, Kathmandu on Tuesday morning, was initially taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB). He is now being transferred to jail to serve his sentence.
On Tuesday, the Kathmandu District Court approved an extension of seven days for Adhikari’s detention.

Amid growing questions over the effectiveness of the two-thirds majority coalition government formed by the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, a serious accusation has emerged against one of its Cabinet members.
Badri Prasad Pandey, the Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary and Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has been accused by a fellow Nepali Congress member of accepting a bribe of 20 million rupees in exchange for granting a casino license.
