Nepal facing Uzbekistan for CAVA Volleyball title



KATHMANDU: Nepal is competing against Uzbekistan for the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) U-20 Men’s Volleyball Championship title.

The match will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, starting at 3 PM local time.

In the last league stage match held yesterday, Nepal triumphed over Turkmenistan with a convincing 3-0 victory, securing their spot in the finals.

Prior to that, Nepal also defeated Sri Lanka and the Maldives in straight sets, but faced losses against Uzbekistan (3-1) and Kyrgyzstan (3-2).

Nepal enters the finals as the second seed, while Uzbekistan holds the top seed with an undefeated record, having won all their matches in the group stage.

The tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, features participants from Turkmenistan, Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Nepal, and the host nation, Sri Lanka.
