CHITWAN: Two buses have gone missing in the Trishuli River after a landslide along the Narayangadh-Muglin road swept them away.

The buses were reported to be carrying 65 people, including the drivers.

Police personnel from the Nepal Disaster Management Training School, Kurintar, have commenced rescue operations.

“Forty-five personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal’s 17th Batallion Chitwan and 25 individuals, including 7 divers from the Disaster Management Training School, are mobilized at the accident scene,” stated DSP Shailendra Thapa, Co-Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force.

At 3:30 this morning, Ganapati Deluxe, traveling from Kathmandu to Gaur in Rautahat, and Angel bus, en route from Birgunj to Kathmandu, plunged into the Trishuli River after being swept away by the landslide.
