KATHMANDU: During today’s House of Representatives (HoR) meeting, lawmakers raised several public concerns, including the short supply of fertilizers, the underutilization of airports, and the challenges faced by patients in hospitals.
During the zero hour session, Man Bahadur Gurung questioned the non-operation of international flights at Pokhara International Airport and urged the government to initiate international operations there.
Mahesh Kumar Bartaula expressed frustration over patients having to wait several months for general surgery at federal hospitals.
Madhav Sapkota emphasized the need to equip the National Disaster Risk Mitigation and Management Authority and security agencies with more resources.
Menaka Kumari Pokharel called for increased efforts by security forces to address the rising crime rates in Dang.
Ranendra Baraili demanded more proactive measures from the government to combat caste-based discrimination in the country.
Other lawmakers, including Manish Kumar Jha, Mukta Kumari Yadav, Metmani Chaudhary, Maina Karki, Raghuji Pant, Ranju Kumari Jha, Rajendra Kumar KC, Ramkrishna Yadav, Ram Kumar Rai, Ramnath Adhikari, Ram Shankar Yadav, Ramhari Khatiwada, Rupa Shoshi Chaudhary, Roshan Karki, Laxmi Tiwari, Lal Prasad Sawa Limbu, Lalbir Chaudhary, and Lekhanath Dahal, also aired their views during the session.
Ranju Kumari Jha urged the government to respond to the concerns raised during the zero hour session.
