NEPSE rises by single digits, trading volume exceeds Rs 5.89 billion



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) maintained its position above the 2100 mark on Wednesday, which it crossed on Tuesday.

NEPSE, which increased by 8.90 points on Monday and 33.15 points on Tuesday, increased by 6.38 points today.

NEPSE rose by 0.30 percent today, reaching 2121.62 points.

Transaction amount reached over Rs 5.89 billion, with a total of 129,504,407 shares changing hands in 74,858 transactions.

Among the 312 companies traded today, 119 companies saw an increase in their share prices, while 115 companies experienced a decline.

The share prices of 13 companies remained stable.

The Sensitive Index fell by 1.67 points, the Float Index by 0.52 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 0.60 points today.

Out of 13 sectors, the share prices of 9 sectors increased, while 4 sectors saw a decline.

The Microfinance sector saw the highest increase of 41.27 points, while the Non-Life Insurance sector experienced the largest drop of 53.20 points.
