Lumbini CM Mahara seeking vote of confidence



DANG: Lumbini Province’s newly appointed Chief Minister, Jokh Bahadur Mahara, has appealed for the vote of confidence in the Province Assembly on Friday.

Following the change in the central power dynamics, Nepali Congress parliamentary leader Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary resigned from the position of Chief Minister on April 4th.

After Chaudhary’s resignation, Mahara was appointed as Chief Minister with the support of 47 lawmakers from five political parties and an independent member.

Currently, he is seeking the vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly.

Mahara is also the parliamentary party leader of CPN-Maoist Center in Lumbini province.
