Russian Ambassador calls on Foreign Minister Shrestha



KATHMANDU: Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Nepal, Alexei A. Novikov, paid a courtesy call on newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Narayankaji Shrestha.

During the meeting, various matters of bilateral mutual interest were discussed in the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, said the Ministry spokesperson, Amrit Bahadur Rai.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha urged for the return of the Nepali citizens who joined the Russian army, bringing back the bodies of Nepalis who have died there and to provide necessary compensation to the families of the deceased.

Ambassador Novikov congratulated and wished Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha a successful term.
