Newly elected NA Chair Dahal vows to enhance Upper House prestige



KATHMANDU: Newly elected Chairman of the National Assembly (NA), Narayan Prasad Dahal, has expressed his commitment to taking initiatives that will elevate the prestige and significance of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament.

Addressing the media after his election, Chair Dahal stated that he intends to actively engage in establishing the belief that the NA is an indispensable institution.

“I am dedicated to uniting NA members from all parties to fulfill the entire roles and responsibilities of the NA. I have confidence that I will succeed in this endeavor,” he emphasized.

Dahal highlighted his intention to approach every activity falling within the NA’s jurisdiction with seriousness.

He emphasized his commitment to participating in the formulation of laws and enhancing the NA’s prestige in various contexts.

Chair Dahal is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy before President Ramchandra Paudel later today.
