Nepal strikes early, claims two wickets as PNG manages 57 runs in powerplay



KATHMANDU: In the powerplay match against Papua New Guinea (PNG), Nepal made early breakthroughs, securing two wickets.

Electing to bat after losing the toss, Nepal amassed a challenging total of 198 runs for the loss of 6 wickets against Papua New Guinea (PNG).

The first wicket for Nepal fell as Pratish GC struck early. Additionally, PNG’s second wicket was lost when Sese Bau was run out after scoring 21 runs.

Furthermore, PNG’s opening batsman Tony Ura contributed 13 runs before departing.

Currently, Assad Vala and Hiri Hiri are endeavoring to forge a partnership, accumulating three and 18 runs, respectively.

In the powerplay, PNG managed to score 57 runs while losing two wickets.
