National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) is taking place today at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneswor.

The primary focus of today’s meeting is to address crucial legislative matters.

In the spotlight for today’s session is the agenda presented by Prakash Pant, Chairman of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee.

Pant is slated to table the “Annual Report of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, 2079-80,” outlining the Committee’s achievements and future plans.

Likewise, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung, is scheduled to propose the consideration of the ‘Bill, 2079,’ aimed at amending select laws related to money laundering prevention and the promotion of a conducive business environment.

Additionally, Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai, is slated to present a proposal for the discussion of the ‘Shahid Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University Bill, 2080.’

This proposal is accompanied by the report of the Legislative Management Committee, providing a comprehensive overview for parliamentary deliberation.
