Ambassador Adhikari pays farewell call on Pakistani PM

KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Tapas Adhikari, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Office of the Prime Minister in Islamabad recently.

Ambassador Adhikari is returning home on completion of his term.

During the call on, matters related to Nepal-Pakistan bilateral relations as well as regional cooperation through SAARC were discussed, the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad said.

The Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Ambassador in further strengthening Nepal-Pakistan relations during his tenure in Islamabad and wished him a bright career ahead.

Present during the meeting were Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan; Mr. Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant of the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs; Ms. Amna Baloch, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan and senior officials from the Pakistani side and Mr. Lok Bahadur Chhetri, Minister Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission from the Embassy.
