Westerly and local winds impacting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: Currently, there is a partial influence of westerly and local winds across the country.

As of Monday morning, the weather in the hilly areas is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is mainly clear, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

This afternoon, the hilly areas are expected to remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly clear conditions.

The Division forecasts the possibility of light rain in one or two locations within the hilly areas of Kosi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with light snowfall in some high hilly and Himalayan regions.

Tonight, the hilly areas will remain partly cloudy, with the rest of the territory expected to have partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.

There is also a chance of light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The bulletin issued by the Division on Monday indicates the potential for light snowfall tonight in a few high hill and Himalayan areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
