Panchthar blast: Govt to provide 5 lakhs for families of deceased



KATHMANDU: The government has announced a relief package following the recent grenade explosion in Phalelung, Panchthar.

Families of the deceased will receive Rs 500,000, and the injured will receive free medical treatment.

The decision was confirmed by Minister of Health and Population Pradeep Paudel, following a cabinet meeting.

The explosion, which occurred in Dandagaon, Phalelung Rural Municipality-5, resulted in the deaths of 2.5-year-old Prinsa and 11-year-old Dipsan Sawan earlier this month.

Minister Paudel also stated that the government will cover the medical expenses for two injured children.

The injured, 10-year-old Pawan Rai and 7-year-old Dipsan Rai, are currently receiving treatment at the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur.
