KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that a combination of westerly and local winds in Nepal, coupled with a low-pressure system formed around Bihar, India, is currently affecting the region.
Today, skies will range from partly to mostly cloudy across the country.
The Division has indicated that light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is presently underway in various areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Furthermore, there’s a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gales in several hilly regions, including Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Additionally, isolated areas in the high hilly and Himalayan regions may experience light snowfall.
As night falls, skies are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.
The Division has forecasted the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning, and gales in parts of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with isolated occurrences in other provinces.
