CM Kandel calls for unified efforts to propel Karnali’s development

KARNALI: Yamlal Kandel, the Chief Minister of Karnali Province, underscored the urgent need for concerted efforts from all stakeholders to drive the region towards development and prosperity.

Speaking at the Karnali Province Assembly meeting, CM Kandel emphasized the importance of effective coordination and collaboration to address the expectations and aspirations of the people.

“As representatives, we have a responsibility to respond to the queries and address pressing issues. It is imperative that we fulfill our duties diligently and allocate the budget appropriately to meet the needs of the people and promote development activities,” Kandel remarked, urging against the past practice of transferring funds between sectors.

He outlined that the policies, programs, and budget for the upcoming year would be formulated with a focus on addressing the concerns and challenges faced by the people.

The concept of balanced development would be prioritized, Kandel assured, calling for proactive participation from all members in budget preparation and planning.

“It is time to devise practical development plans and instill a culture of progress in Karnali,” he stressed.

Hikmat Bista, Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party in the Karnali Province Assembly, pledged cooperation with the government’s positive initiatives while also emphasizing the need for vigilant oversight to prevent any misconduct.

He extended best wishes for a successful term to CM Kandel.

Ransing Pariyar, Chief Whip of the Maoist Centre, Kalyani Khadka from CPN (Unified Socialist), and Santoshi Shahi of RPP Province also conveyed their best wishes to CM Kandel.
