UML urges Gandaki government not to take decisions with long-term impact

GANDAKI: The CPN-UML Gandaki Province Assembly parliamentary party has urged the Gandaki provincial government not to take decisions having long-term impact.

The UML parliamentary party leader Govinda Bahadur Nepali said that a meeting of the parliamentary party took this decision.

“The government has been cautioned against taking any decision likely to have long-term impact, as it has been reduced to minority position and a care-taker status,” he said.

The meeting has decided to give the responsibility to parliamentary party leader Khagaraj Adhikari of holding necessary dialogue and coordination on behalf the party in the changed context.

Chief whip Nepali said the meeting also decided to call on all sides concerned for creating an environment for an easy and natural political outlet for the formation of a new government in Gandaki province.

The Gandaki provincial government headed by the Nepali Congress has fallen into a minority in the Province Assembly with the CPN (Maoist Centre) withdrawing its support.
