Reporting from 10 provinces to conclude today, discussion on Maoist Center statutes draft on Monday

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center’s central committee meeting witnessed reporting of activities from 10 provincial committees on Sunday.

Until their tiffin break at 3 pm today, eight provincial committees had submitted their reports.

Following that, reporting is in progress for Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

The central committee meeting will continue tomorrow.

According to Maoist Center Secretary and lawmaker Devendra Paudel, 409 central members are participating in this meeting.

Similarly, nearly 900 participants under various committees, including the Discipline Committee, Central Audit Committee, Central Election Committee, are actively involved in the meeting.

The central committee meeting will last for two days, and the Maoist Center has been working to prepare proposals for the party’s statute.

The Maoist Center has scheduled a draft convention from February 13 to 15.

The party had already held a standing committee meeting on Friday and Saturday.

The Maoist Center has 10 provincial committees, including seven provincial committees, Kathmandu valley special provincial committee, contact coordination provincial committee, and expatriate provincial committee.

So far, the province in-charges and chairmen of eight committees have presented their reports and findings.

Interestingly, all leaders from the provinces have been complaining that there have been blunders from the party’s top level and central leadership in most cases.
