Man dies in electric saw mishandling

MALEKHU: A person died after being injured while cutting wood with an electric saw in Dhading district.

The 38-year-old man from Sanghutar of Nilkantha municipality-8, Raj Kumar Shrestha, received severe injuries in his body with the electric saw he was using to cut trees in the Amarawati community forest.

The mishandled electric saw flipped and hurled at him caused deep cuts in his body leading to his death.

He was taken to District Hospital for treatment, but in vain, according to eye witness.

Deputy Superintendent of Police in the district, Santulal Prasad Jaiswar, informed that there were severe injuries in Shrestha’s chest and stomach. Investigation into the incident is underway, he added.
