KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing against Bhutan in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup Cricket today.
The match is being played at Biomass Oval Stadium in Malaysia.
Both Nepal and Bhutan have marked their presence with victories in their initial Group D matches.
In a game held on Saturday, Nepal secured a convincing 8-wicket triumph over Hong Kong, while Bhutan triumphed over the Maldives by a substantial margin of 94 runs.
Hong Kong and Maldives, the other contenders in Group D, find themselves in a challenging position after losing their opening matches.
Nepal’s next encounter is slated against Maldives on February 13.
The ACC Women’s Premier Cup boasts a diverse array of participating nations, including Nepal, Thailand, UAE, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, Bhutan, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Singapore, Japan, Qatar, and Maldives, along with the host Malaysia.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarterfinals.
Adding to the stakes, the victorious team and the runner-up of this tournament will earn the privilege to represent their nations in the ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
Furthermore, countries reaching the semi-finals will secure a spot in the ACC Women’s Emerging Asia Cup 2025, making every match a stepping stone towards regional prominence.
