Karnali Yaks secure comfortable 7-wicket victory against Pokhara Avengers

KATHMANDU: Karnali Yaks clinched a convincing 7-wicket win against Pokhara Avengers in the Nepal Premier League.

Chasing a modest target of 103 runs, Karnali achieved the total in just 15 overs with three wickets down.

Openers Dev Khanal and Babar Hayat were dismissed cheaply, failing to reach double digits.

However, Karnali rebounded strongly with a 60-run partnership between Gulshan Jha and Chadwick Walton.

Walton scored 42 runs off 24 balls, including six boundaries and a six, before being bowled by Kushal Bhurtel. Jha narrowly missed his half-century, remaining unbeaten on 49 runs off 34 deliveries, hitting six boundaries and a six. William Bosisto contributed an unbeaten 2 runs to seal the win.

For Pokhara, Bipin Khatri, Sagar Dhakal, and Kushal Bhurtel each took a wicket, but their efforts were insufficient to defend the total.

Karnali’s comprehensive performance showcased their dominance as they easily chased the target with 30 balls to spare.
