Kathmandu District Court remands Lila Ballav Adhikari to two days in custody



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to keep UML leader and Koshi Provincial Assembly member, Lila Ballav Adhikari, following his arrest on human trafficking charges.

Adhikari, the former Minister of Internal Affairs and Law for Koshi Province, was brought to Kathmandu and immediately presented to the court via the government attorney’s office for further legal proceedings on the human trafficking case linked to Japan.

He was arrested from his residence in Biratnagar on Sunday and brought to Kathmandu for investigation.
