KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane will remain in custody for an additional 13 days following a recent court ruling.

Judge Nawaraj Dahal of the Kaski District Court, on Sunday, extended Lamichhane’s custody at the request of the District Police Office, Kaski, to allow for continued investigation into multiple charges against him.

Lamichhane, initially detained on October 18, faces allegations of cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.

Authorities are probing his involvement in a cooperative fraud case, as well as investigating potential links to broader organized crime networks and illicit financial activities.
