KATHMANDU: Monsoon is currently affecting the country, with the monsoon low-pressure line situated south of its usual position.
As of Tuesday morning, the weather in the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, including the hilly areas, is partly to mostly cloudy.
In the rest of the country, there is a partial change. The Weather Forecast Division has reported scattered to light rain occurring at a few places in the Bagmati and Karnali provinces.
This afternoon, the country is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a chance of heavy rain at a few locations in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with a few places in the rest of the country also experiencing similar conditions.
According to the Division, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight.
