Political stability will drive economic reforms: FNCCI President Dhakal



KAILALI: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has expressed confidence that the current government, formed through an alliance of two major political parties, will introduce significant economic reforms due to the resulting political and policy stability.

Speaking at the golden jubilee celebration of the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday, President Dhakal expressed optimism that the recently unveiled monetary policy by the central government would invigorate the economy.

He noted that the share market has shown a bullish trend and called for further reforms to stimulate demand and promote growth in the production sector.

Dhakal also emphasized that economic activities in the provinces are likely to increase with the formation of stable provincial governments.

He advocated for enhanced coordination between provincial and local governments.

Highlighting the potential of Sudurpaschim Province, he pointed out its significant opportunities in the hydropower and tourism sectors.

He urged that the hardworking youth in the region be connected to entrepreneurship and development initiatives.
