MYAGDI: The Beni-Darbang road has been obstructed by a landslide that occurred Friday evening at Lampata Ranbang on the road section.

As a result, travelers have been stranded, with many choosing to walk across the landslide site to reach their destinations.

This road, which serves as a crucial connection for three municipalities in western Baglung, has faced repeated blockages due to landslides throughout this monsoon season.

Local resident Teknath Subedi reported that a new landslide has emerged in the already landslide-prone Lampata Ranbang area.

The Beni-Darbang road, considered the lifeline of Myagdi, continues to face significant challenges each year during the monsoon.

Vehicles traveling between Beni and Darbang remain stranded, and passengers are taking risks by walking across the landslide site.

Harikrishna Paudel from Ranbang expressed concern that the road, which connects Dhawalagiri, Malika, and Mangala Rural Municipalities to the district headquarters, Beni Bazar, is becoming increasingly dangerous during the rainy season.
