Sudurpaschim govt expansion: Ministers sworn-in



DHANGADHI: The Chief of Sudurpaschim Province, Najir Miya, on Monday expanded the cabinet in the province on the recommendation of Chief Minister Dirgha Bahadur Sodari.

Accordingly, Surendra Bahadur Pal is named as the Minister for Economic Affairs, while Om Bikram Bhat is the Social Development Minister in the appointment and portfolio division carried out as per Article 168 (9) of the Constitution.

Likewise, Akkal Bahadur Rawal, Bir Bahadur Thapa, Laxmi BK, Maya Pant and Hira Sarki were appointed as the minister without portfolios.

Province Chief Miya administered the oath of office to the newly-appointed ministers amid a function at the Office of the Province Chief on Monday.

Chief Minister Sodari has also taken responsibility for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law as well as the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.

Ear;ier, Kailash Chaudhary was already sworn in as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Tika Thapa as the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives.
