KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has returned to Nepal on Monday evening, concluding his two-day official visit to India.
Prime Minister Dahal traveled to New Delhi on Sunday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi.
Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Prime Minister Dahal was welcomed by Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers, lawmakers, high-ranking government officials, and heads of security agencies.
On this occasion, the Nepal Army presented a guard of honor to the Prime Minister.
During his stay in India, Prime Minister Dahal paid a courtesy call on Indian President Droupadi Murmu and held discussions with newly-appointed Prime Minister Modi.
He engaged in talks with both President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi on matters of mutual interest and concern between Nepal and India.
Accompanying the Prime Minister were Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, Personal Secretary Ganga Dahal, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and other government officials.
