NC holding Parliamentary Party meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party, is holding a meeting of its Parliamentary Party this morning.

The session will take place in the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament Building, in New Baneswor.

It should be noted that in the previous meeting of the Parliamentary Party, NC lawmakers voiced their dissent demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in misappropriating cooperative funds.

Reports suggest that the agenda of the meeting will include deliberations on how to effectively address this matter within the parliamentary framework.

The meeting, initially slated for Thursday, was deferred following the demise of Suryaman Gurung, a former central member of the Nepali Congress.
