KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Chief Minister of Karnali province, Yamlal Kandel, has sworn to his office on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Kandel took his oath to office and secrecy before Province Chief Tilak Pariyar.

Kandel, who serves as the parliamentary leader of the UML in the province, was appointed as the Chief Minister on Tuesday.

He entertained the support of 9 lawmakers from the CPN-UML, 13 from the CPN-Maoist Center, and 10 from the CPN-Unified Socialist Party.
