NC and RPP obstruct Parliament, HoR meeting postponed until April 14



KATHMANDU: The lawmakers from main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have obstructed the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday.

As soon as the Speaker began the zero hour session in the parliament, the lawmakers from the NC and RPP stood up in protest.

Previously, the Speaker had allocated time for the lawmakers of various political parties.

NC did not protest during the deliberations of the lawmakers on the party basis.

RPP joined the House obstruction on Wednesday.

NC has been protesting in the parliament seeking the formation of probe committee to investigate on the Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in the the cooperatives fraud.

Following continuous disruptions, the Speaker has postponed the parliamentary meeting until April 14.
