KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has issued a cautionary advisory urging students not to enroll in colleges affiliated with foreign educational institutions without obtaining proper authorization.

In a public notice, the Ministry has disclosed a list of 49 educational institutions that have obtained permission to offer programs such as the Advanced Level, International Baccalaureate, CBSE, or equivalent courses.

It explicitly instructs individuals not to enroll in these programs at any other educational institutions apart from those mentioned in the provided list.

However, the International Education Providers of Nepal has raised concerns, stating that there are currently 89 educational institutions operating in Nepal with affiliations to foreign academic programs and boards.

The Ministry has emphasized that educational institutions offering foreign courses and programs without obtaining necessary permissions will face legal consequences.

This advisory aims to safeguard the interests of students and ensure the quality and legitimacy of educational programs offered in the country.

The Ministry underscores its commitment to enforcing regulations to maintain standards in the education sector.
