Election for Vice Chair of National Assembly set for today



KATHMANDU: Today marks the highly anticipated election for the Vice Chair of the National Assembly (NA), scheduled to take place this Wednesday.

A convening of the National Assembly has been slated for 1 pm this afternoon, with the primary agenda being the election of a new Vice Chairman.

Vishnu Devi Pudasaini representing the Nepali Congress and Bimala Ghimire from CPN-UML, both supported by the ruling alliance, are the prominent contenders for the coveted position.

Presently, the National Assembly comprises 58 members, with one vacancy yet to be filled, pending nomination by the President.
