NEPSE witnesses double-digit growth on Sunday, trading volume nears Rs 3 billion



KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed significant growth, with a double-digit surge of 22.10 points.

As of Sunday, the Nepse index reached 2052.65 points.

In today’s trading session, a total of 56,726 transactions of 743,457 shares involving 304 companies, amounted to a business turnover of Rs 2,922,771,558.

Furthermore, the sensitive index of the ‘Class A’ category companies also rose by 4.26 points, reaching 364.53 points.

Hydropower companies alone conducted business worth Rs 846,013,604 by trading 2,663,101 shares.

Meanwhile, the corporate sector witnessed a turnover of Rs 2,684,663.
