KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is holding a meeting tomorrow (Monday) of its Central Committee (CC) to discuss preparations for the upcoming by-elections to be held on April 27.

Central member Sobita Gautam, RSP lawmaker, stated that the meeting’s primary focus is to strategize and discuss pertinent matters related to the impending by-election.

“The meeting has been called to discuss pertinent matters related to the by-election to be held in Ilam Constituency-2,” she stated.

RSP has initiated preparations for the Ilam-2 election, and a meeting has been convened to address candidate selection and other related issues specific to that constituency.

Kabindra Burlakoti, the RSP’s Joint General Secretary, has been appointed as the election commander for Ilam-2 and is engaged in overseeing the preparations on the ground.

It should be noted that RSP has earlier dispatched six lawmakers to Ilam, tasking them with gauging public sentiments.

Lawmaker Gautam said that the central agenda of Monday’s meeting includes discussions on the ‘survey’ of public sentiment compiled by the parliamentarians.
