Govt highlights special initiatives in cross-border trade with China: Prime Minister Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has asserted that his government has undertaken special initiatives in the operation of trade routes with China. Addressing the 24th general assembly of the Nepal Trans Himalaya Border Commerce Association, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the increased priority given to the initiation and systematic management of international and commercial routes between Nepal and China. He claimed that since becoming the Prime Minister for the third time, he has given more priority than ever to initiating and organizing international and commercial routes between Nepal and China.

Protesting doctors and staff of BPKIHS resume work following six-point agreement

On Saturday, a resolution was reached after six rounds of discussions between the management of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) and the Joint Struggle Committee of the Teachers’ Welfare Society and Employee Welfare Society. The Joint Struggle Committee, representing doctors, teachers, and staff, decided to end their protest and return to their duties. The agreement, concluded after the 27-day-long Civil Disobedience Movement, outlines the resumption of the long-suspended interviews for the positions advertised on January 4, 2023, and February 8, starting from February 18.

Three batsmen score half-centuries as Nepal secures victory against Canada

In the second One Day International (ODI) cricket match against Canada, Nepal emerged victorious by four wickets at the TU Cricket Ground. Canada set a target of 286 runs, and Nepal achieved it in 45 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel contributed significantly, scoring 87 runs in 101 balls, including 8 fours and 4 sixes. Dev Khanal, the U-19 team captain, added 76 runs, showcasing an impressive performance with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Furthermore, Anil Sah played a crucial inning, scoring a half-century with 50 runs. Bhim Sarki also contributed with 23 runs. For Canada, Ishwarjot Sohi and Harsh Thaker took two wickets each.
