Bus accident in Chitwan leaves 20 injured, two in critical condition

CHITWAN: A bus accident in Chitwan resulted in 20 people sustaining injuries when a passenger bus Ba Pra. 01-006 B 2004, en route from Rautahat to Kathmandu, collided with a stationary truck (Prad 02-001 B 7312) on the side of the road at Gadyoli, located under the East-West Highway.

Suresh Subedi, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office in Chitwan, said that all the injured individuals were passengers aboard the ill-fated bus.

Presently, two of the injured victims are in critical condition and are receiving medical attention at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur.

Chief Subedi disclosed that the bus driver is currently at large, prompting an ongoing search to locate the individual responsible for the unfortunate incident.
