Maoist Center holding Standing Committee meeting even today

KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Maoist Center is taking place today as well.

Ganesh Sah, a member of the Standing Committee, stated that the meeting will continue today as well at the party’s central office in Parisdanda.

The focal point of the discussion will revolve around the draft statute presented during the session.

In a decision made during the previous Standing Committee meeting, it was decided to conduct the statute session on February 13, 14, and 15.

The draft committee, tasked with amending the party’s statute, has proposed changes covering various aspects, including the size of the Central Committee.

The proposed amendments are slated to be disseminated to lower levels within the party to gather feedback and suggestions.

The meeting aims to deliberate on the recommendations put forth by the party’s floor committee concerning legislative proposals.

Looking ahead, a Central Committee meeting has been called for February 11 and 12 to ratify the decisions made by the Standing Committee.
