KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) has made the decision to withdraw the controversial action taken against Dr. Bishad Dahal.

Following a two-hour discussion between KMC and protesting medical students held at Balkumari, Lalitpur, the college agreed to revoke the suspension order and allow Dr. Dahal to resume work.

Earlier, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai, directed the withdrawal of action against the doctor to resolve the issue.

On Wednesday, KMC’s former Dean NB Rana, current Dean Manoj Humagain, and students from KMC and other medical colleges reached an agreement.

They decided to commence drafting Directives regarding the Fieldwork of Medical Students and ensure uninterrupted teaching-learning activities until these directives are finalized.
