NC-UML coalition for stability: Dr Mahat



DADELDHURA: Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said the two major political parties in the parliament- the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) – decided to form a coalition government to promote stability in the country.

Speaking at a press meet organized by the Nepal Press Union, Dadeldhura today, Dr Mahat, also the former Finance Minister, claimed the need for unity between the two parties was released bearing in mind the frequent change in the political equation, hampering the overall development endeavors in the country.

As he claimed, the incumbent government will lead the country towards stability. He said the government will soon unveil the government’s common minimum programme.

He advised the government to focus on addressing the citizens’ concerns and promoting good governance.

The NC Spokesperson stressed that the party should engage in the strengthening of organizational structure so that it could prove its presence in the next general election scheduled for 2084 BS.
