Cloudy skies, scattered showers expected across Nepal

KATHMANDU: The country’s weather is currently influenced by local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure area formed around Bihar in India.

As of Sunday morning, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including the Koshi Province, while the weather in the rest of the country is mainly clear.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy over the hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Weather Forecast Division has stated that the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and a couple of places in the remaining areas.

There is also a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon at a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Partly to mostly cloudy conditions will prevail over the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight.
